Alfie is a jaw dropping, panty melting, tattooed bad boy. Rough around the edges and still flawless to look at. He’s a drop dead gorgeous specimen of a man. I can’t wait to see where Lily and Alfie go in the next book.ALFIE BLACK has everything he needs to pass scrutiny as a rock star. Lily always tries to do the right thing and keep everyone happy but decides that it’s time for her to work on what she wants to make her happy. With things moving on well for Lily, even though she still sees Alfie, they keep their distance until, Alfie tries to get what they had back and Lily lets him know she can’t because of her feelings for him and needs someone who can love her, they decide to give being friends a try. After a while Lily realises that she is starting to develop feelings for Alfie and needs to put some distance between them and see if he has feelings for her as well.

With the chemistry between Lily and Alfie undeniable they agree to be friends with benefits and no commitments as Alfie says he can’t offer her that. After watching him for a while, she learns his name is Alfie and he is a big flirt, but she can’t help the way he makes her feel.

On the way, she hears music and stops captivated by the musician playing the guitar. Heading to the campus to organise her classes, Lily heads to the meet and greet area for new students to meet existing student. Lily moves to America to study Music, while sharing an apartment with her friends. Lily and Alfie as well as the supporting characters were well developed and I absolutely could not wait to start the second book to see where their lives would lead to. Little does she know that once she accepts she will begin one hell of an emotional roller coaster. Her very first day a dark, mysterious man offers Lily a proposition that she decides she can not turn down as she has decided it is time to grow up and live her life. It is written from Lily's POV, she is a privileged, naive girl that has decided to leave her family and friends in London and move to America to attend college and study music. By about chapter 5 or so I was completely pulled into their world and stayed up until 3am the same night I started the book in order to finish it. With all that being said let me tell anyone who reads this review that I am SO glad I did not. Again I do believe that our review team was provided an unedited copy of the book by the author. I almost gave up reading the trilogy by chapter four because I was getting frustrated. I believe the copy we were given by the author was before the book had been edited, because I had a hard time getting through the first several chapters because of spelling and grammatical errors. I was provided a copy of the books in this trilogy in exchange for an honest review as part of Beautifully Broken Book Blog.
